Steam Punk Workshop = Inspiration!

I'm really a fan of steam punk style. I'll be starting my own line of steam punk themed jewelry later this year. Been a big sci-fi fan since I was 10 (that's a l-o-o-ng time, trust me!) Love Jules Verne and H. G. Wells as well as E.A. Poe! The entire turn of the century era was a time of innovation and creation and steam punk reflects that. So here's a little steam punk inspiration for you to enjoy from steampunkworkshop.com!

Grmeemaw: Shhh... the Baby's Sleeping

For the first couple of moments, I thought this was a picture of a sleeping infant. Then I thought it was one of those expensive, life-like soft rubber baby dolls. Well I was wrong on both counts, it's a life-like, life-sized sculpture called "reborn!" The work is amazing, see for yourself! Grmeemaw, bravo!

Use Liver-of-Sulphur to Oxidize Metal

Hey There!

When you're working with metals, it's often a great idea to put a patina on your finished piece. A patina adds interest and depth, especially to patterned pieces. I ran across this article on using liver-of-sulphur on about.com. Hope this helps you make beautiful art!
