I've been cleaning out my mother's house after she entered an assisted living facility this month. I was worried but the place is very nice and all the residents seem healthy and happy. Mom is handling it pretty well, despite my initial misgivings. She's got company and someone to look after her since I'm 800+ miles away. Anyway, she was seamstress/dressmaker for 50 + years and had a ton of fabric (literally). It got me to thinking about the fabric arts.
